Board One Foundation

Board One Foundation is inspired by the passion and legacy of the late D'Anthony 'D40' Dorsey, a dedicated athlete, teacher, and competitive chess player. Who lost his battle with Covid-19 on September 14, 2021 at just 24 years old. 

 D'Anthony's journey from an underserved community to becoming a beacon of hope and excellence exemplifies the transformative power of education, mentorship, and the game of chess. Our foundation is committed to continuing his legacy by providing at-risk children with opportunities to excel academically and personally through mentorship, skill-building, and scholarships.

We are deeply impacted by the devastating toll of COVID-19, especially among younger individuals like D, whose vibrant spirit and potential were tragically cut short by this relentless virus.

Through our work, we honor the memories of those we have lost by striving to create positive change and lasting impact in our communities.
